Bad doctors, bad vacations, bad affairs…
Doctors who “reported experiencing burnout,” according to Medscape. How do those doctors define burnout? “Feelings of physical, emotional or mental exhaustion, frustration or cynicism about work, and doubts about one’s experience and the value of one’s work.”
Employees who say “their annual performance review had no impact or was ineffective at improving their professional performance,” according to Korn Ferry. When asked to describe the process in one word, 36 percent said “disappointing,” while 12 percent said “painful.”
Employees who, in the past, have “engaged in an intimate relationship with someone at work,” according to Namely. Must not have gone well, because 79 percent say they wouldn’t do it now.
Employees who “report unplugging from work completely while taking time off,” according to Alamo Rent A Car. That’s way down from 53 percent last year. Even worse, “59 percent say they put pressure on themselves to work during family vacations, with 57 percent saying they do so to avoid coming back to a mountain of work.”
