Here's what happens when researchers get bored. And hungry.
Club Sandwich prices don’t really vary from diner to diner, but the cost can really pile high depending on what country you are eating it in.
Travel site Hotels.com has just released its Club Sandwich Index — believe it or not, this is the third annual — and determined, “Geneva has retained the top spot as the most expensive city in the world to order a Club Sandwich, at an average of $32.60.”
Great, but why? Hotels.com says, “Using the classic hotel staple of a chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce, and mayonnaise sandwich [is] a barometer of affordability.”
Or maybe it’s a barometer of Hotels.com having way too much time on its hands.
