Do you work on the weekends? Nearly 1 in 5 employees do. And that pleases some people.

Effective work habits don’t necessarily mean bringing your work home with you or keeping work email on your personal devices.

This is good news only to your boss and a company called RingCentral…

“Outstandingly, 17% of employees in the United States work 6 hours or more on the weekends!”

So declares the giddy folks at RingCentral, which provides voice and video conferencing services for businesses. The company surveyed nearly 450 businesses to learn, “40 percent of workers are constantly connected to work by at least two devices…This large sample size seems to suggest that many employees are continuously blurring the lines between work life and personal life.”

Ya think? And while they ask whether you’re working effectively, they don’t really define effectiveness…
