The Great American Smokeout is November 20th. Can you quit? If you already have, tell us how.
Next Thursday is the Great American Smokeout, an annual “holiday” created by the American Cancer Society to encourage people to quit smoking.
We want people who managed to quit to share their story. Tell us how you did it, what methods you used and even fill us in on the emotional and physical stress you endured. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate The Great American Smokeout. If you win, we’ll give you $50 to spend on anything but cigarettes.
You must not be a smoker. This contest is for those who know how to stop smoking and want to tell their story. Post your story on our Facebook page or write it in the comment section below. The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16.
A $50 Amazon gift card.
Last week’s winner
Last week we asked for your best excuse calling in sick to work, and we got some funny ones. Our favorite — well, the one we actually felt sympathy for — came from Melanie B….
My dog got loose and I spent an hour chasing him. In the process I got a ticket for j-walking, the dog ran back knocked me down and I hit my head. I’m so dizzy and exhausted I was lucky to get home, The dog and I need to rest today.
Hope an Amazon gift card makes up for the jaywalking ticket, Melanie.
