Tell us what you think the proper holiday tipping etiquette should be and win $50.
Tipping during the holiday season is always a controversial subject. How much should you give your housekeeper, hairdresser, or other people that provide you with a valuable service, without blowing your budget? (Do you tip mail carriers?)
Some people like to go all out while others tip at their regular rate or just toss them a few extra bucks, without worrying what their next haircut might look like.
We just made a holiday tipping infographic and want to know if it matches your experience. Here’s your chance to win some extra money so you don’t get a bad haircut or have your mail suddenly end up in a stranger’s mailbox 10 blocks from your house. All thoughts on holiday tipping without blowing your budget are welcome.
Simply tell us about someone you tip that might surprise people. Or maybe it’s how much you tip them — who do you tip for the holidays and why? Let us know on our Facebook page or in the comments section below. We’ll feature the best idea on the subject next week. The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 21.
A $50 Amazon gift card.
Last week’s winner
Last week we asked for the most practical Christmas gift you’ve ever gotten or given, and the best answer came from Christine M…
Every year my Mom sends me pajamas. She sends enough to last me an entire year. I know that come Christmas, wherever we are stationed at, I will get a package from Hawaii with gift-wrapped pajamas. I never buy them because I know she is going to send them. This is the most practical gift I receive at Christmas time.
Maybe you can get your mom some nice pajamas with the gift card, Christine.
