Here's what happens when researchers get bored. And hungry.
Travel site Hotels.com has just released its Club Sandwich Index — believe it or not, this is the third annual — and determined, “Geneva has retained the top spot as the most expensive city in the world to order a Club Sandwich, at an average of $32.60.”
Great, but why? Hotels.com says, “Using the classic hotel staple of a chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce and mayonnaise sandwich [is] a barometer of affordability.”
Or maybe it’s a barometer of Hotels.com having way too much time on its hands.
